Lloyd Isgrove

It hasn’t been the greatest of stays at St. Mary’s for the Welshman, Isgrove. Following a successful loan spell at Barnsley last season, which included a game-winning goal in the playoff final win against Millwall, Isgrove was set to have a successful campaign coming into this season. That hasn’t been the case, as patience seems to have run out from the fans and managers for Isgrove.

It just hasn’t happened for the 24-year-old. He is starting to become of age where he is no longer considered a youth talent and should be getting reps with the first team on a regular basis.

This is not the case, as he continues to play with the younger squads and still isn’t the first choice on the pitch. The likes of Josh Sims and Jake Hesketh have featured significantly more than Isgrove at similar positions, which doesn’t bode well for his future with the squad.

A permanent move should be looked into during this summer transfer window, which would be mutually successful for both sides.
