Providing fans with a shockingly bad display against Leicester City. Southampton were made to pay by being smashed 4-1 at St. Mary’s by the Foxes on Wednesday night.

Leicester’s current manager, and ex-Saint, Claude Puel came to haunt his former club and his successor Mauricio Pellegrino. Sacked in June for lack of goals and attacking menace, Wednesday’s game only made his dismissal more ironic.

There was a lot to take from the game, mostly if not all negative given the manner of the defeat. Southampton were easily outclassed in every department and the score-line complementary in every way.

So what were they?
