Francis Amuzu is an exciting forward who could be out of contract soon and has drawn interest from Premier League squads including Southampton.

The Belgian club are trying to sign the youngster to a new contract but the two sides cannot agree to a deal and the club may be forced to sell before they lose the promising talent to a free transfer.

New manager (one we are all familiar with) Vincent Kompany, is trying to keep the player who starred in the recent U21 Euros but he is drawing interest from clubs like Brighton and Saints.

Amuzu, would represent the second attacker the club has signed from the Belgian league. The first being Moussa Djenepo.

The teenager played most often on the left-side but is more than capable of playing in a true striker role. With it looking like the club will be selling Charlie Austin soon and an overload on the left-side it is very possible the club would sing him with the intent of having him play striker.

The new season is about 3-weeks away at this point and the clock is ticking down for clubs to do their business. Southampton still need to offload a number of players and better start hustling if they do not want to be stuck with dead weight.

Transfermrkt.us has the youngster’s value at only around £3m so there is no reason a club like Southampton could not pull the trigger and sign him before anyone else can.

I like the strategy of bringing in youth and I think Amuzu could be another exciting talent for Hasenhuttl to work with in the coming years.
