Join us, the Saints Marching team, as we guide Southampton in Football Manager 17. Will we march on, or crash and burn? Stay tuned and find out!

Welcome to an all new series on Saints Marching. This series will take part on the popular simulation game Football Manager 2017. This series will show the progress Southampton in the current 2016/17 season and beyond.

All the key decisions will be made by the viewers of the series who will dictate the major choices made by the manager through comments and polls. The aim of the series is to establish whether a fan run club system can benefit the team and produce results on the pitch.

The first episode of the series can be viewed below, taking you through the format of the game and how the series will pan out.

The second episode is now live too! In this episode we make our first signing as Manager and play our first two pre season friendlies, and much like the fist episode there are two different polls to vote in which will dictate how the series progresses.

Check it out below!

Episode #2 Review : The first two games of the pre season weren’t the best performance wise, two sides that should’ve been seen off comfortably. The performance against Feyenoord was particularly poor with Alex McCarthy looking a little ropey in goal. Off the pitch however things are looking more positive with the arrival of Jetro Willems who will add real quality to the squad depth. One or two additions are still likely to be added before the start of the Premier League season but the polls should indicate which positions we should be adding to.

A new episode will be posted every week here on Saints Marching with an article to accompany it so make sure to check back next week for another instalment.
