Centre Back – Jose Fonte

Again, a no-brainer here. Southampton’s captain and another defensive rock (when he’s not conceding penalties) has to get the start here. Not that the Saints have too many who can replace him, of course. Maya Yoshida has done the job but his trademark blundering back-pass is just the sort of opening you don’t want to give Liverpool. Fonte, much more sure footed, is the sure choice here.
