Thursday and Friday

The week’s polls ended with a much more team-orientated feel, with injuries and suspensions the biggest talking points of Puel’s pre-WBA press conference.

With Oriol Romeu already suspended the Frenchman confirmed that his team would also be without their captain – Steven Davis – for the important encounter with Tony Pulis and his team.

Thursday saw the Saints fans vote for who they saw fit to replace the two key midfielders, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who has rarely featured as of late, taking the vote.

Should both players be unavailable it looks like the supporters would want Jordy Clasie to partner him in the deeper midfield role.

The week’s final pole, which remains active, sees the fans debate as to whether record signing Sofiane Boufal would make it back into the side.

The Moroccan is currently battling for fitness and is unlikely to feature tomorrow, and by the views of the fans, he shouldn’t be making it back into the starting XI soon.

With Redmond hitting all the right notes at the moment it seems like he’s going to be the first name on the teamsheet, whilst Tadic remains the most dispensable asset from the attacking trio.
