Who should be Southampton’s top priorities to keep this summer?

1. Virgil Van Dijk

Captain, my captain. Nothing would hurt more in the eyes of Saints fans like the departure of Virgil Van Dijk. There is an emotional connection so deep instilled within the fan base with this man. This could be where the fans turn on management. Management should do everything they can keep arguably the best center-backs in the world at the moment.

The Dutchman is the heartbeat of this team and can single handedly win you games. This is something that cannot be said of many center-backs. He is a commander, a champion, and most importantly, our captain. If we do not make Van Dijk our top priority to keep this summer, then it is time for us to re-think our way of doing business.
