Monday-Tuesday

The week started with the question that well and truly divides the crowd – Puel’s future. In the first edition of FFP over 90 percent of people voted that the Frenchman’s first season should be considered a success.

Despite this, the classic ‘Puel in/out’ poll finished with our closest ever result.

With 47 voters and a near fifty-fifty split between the two options, it means that only two or three votes separated the final result.

However for now the optimists win, with 53 percent indeed going to the people who think Puel deserves to keep his job.

Tuesday’s poll meanwhile came off the back of a piece written on Pontus Jansson, the Leeds centre-back who is strongly linked with a move to the Saints this summer.

It seems like the fans are keen for Les Reed and co. to bring in the Swedish international, who has been good enough for Gary Monk’s side to earn himself a spot in the Championship Team of the Season.

Jansson is also been his side’s best passer in terms of a success rate based off a solid amount of attempts per game, suggesting his ability to work as a ball-playing centre-half similar to Virgil van Dijk.

It seems, with over 60 percent of votes going in favour, that the fans are keen for the Saints to bring in the 26-year-old this summer.
