The Pessimist

There are some complications that can come into play. Companies are something that are very fickle and can go down at any point. The company stock is something to monitor when looking at these types of investments. There is no telling how the company will do overtime and the amount of money they will be able to put into the organization.

A company is very self-focused. What kind of interest do you think this company will truly show Southampton? Do they want to buy the club for just show-and-tell? To say “Look, we bought this team how cool Is that?” and then not do anything afterwards? It is something that must come to mind when dissecting these moves.

Another option that could happen is the other spectrum of this. There could be a complete takeover and overhaul of the organization. They may come in and see that they like nothing about the organization. They have a completely different vision and start getting rid of everyone. That includes Puel, the players, the management, everyone.

Pretty soon, the organization will be a ghost of the club it once was. It could be entirely for the worst as well. They could get rid of everyone and then decide they don’t want to invest anymore and then we are stuck with nothing.

It is difficult to tell which side of the pendulum the takeover may fall. Honestly, it could be right in the middle, and that’s not a bad thing. With all things, there could be great benefits, and serious repercussions.

Do not be scared of change though, because at the end of the day, these are all guesses. Change is needed to make the next step up. If you are satisfied with the team we have and don’t want change, then you should probably find another team to follow. Change is coming, whether it’s now or down the road, and you better be ready when it strikes.
