Wednesday-Thursday
With the Saints getting thrashed by Chelsea the night before thanks to some questionable goalkeeping from Fraser Forster.
The Englishman, who was signed from Scottish giants Celtic, has faced relatively little competition for the starting spot since returning from a long-term absence last season.
Despite having as many as five goalkeepers currently among their ranks, Forster has held the responsibility across all competitions and is still seemingly not going to be dropped irregardless of how good or bad he plays for the Saints.
The week’s final poll came off the back of Claude Puel’s comments about the side’s defensive midfielder Oriol Romeu. The manager suggested that the Spaniard should get a chance to play for his country at some point, something which the Saints fans agree with in abundance.
With a huge 95 percent of votes going in favour of Romeu playing for Spain, it stands as one of Saints Marching’s most one-sided polls to date. Whilst the defensive midfielder might warrant a call-up, he may have to wait a little while longer due to the form and ability of Spain’s other players in his position.
