Friday’s Fan Polls is a weekly series in which Saints Marching collects all of their daily Twitter polls from the past week and analyzes them all in one place, providing fan thoughts and reaction to all things Southampton FC from the past seven days.

The past week has been full to the brim with rumours surrounding the Saints, ranging from interesting transfers to heavy speculation of a managerial change. It all came after the Saints drew 0-0 at the weekend against Hull City.

However when you consider that the Tigers haven’t won away from home since last April, and that Dusan Tadic had a last-minute penalty saved, it made it feel much more like a loss.

The week also brought about the annual player’s awards night, with Oriol Romeu taking home both Player of the Season awards – Sofiane Boufal won goal of the season.

Saturday-Sunday

The weekend began with the normal game-day predictions, and Saints fans were seemingly very confident going into the match against the Tigers.

43 percent of the voters believed that the Saints would hit the perfect three, and more voters were confident that Claude Puel’s side could actually hit four against the sketchy Hull defense than one – but it wasn’t to be.

The Saints actually failed to register a goal after a dismal showing in front of their home fans, which resulted in booing from the faithful fans.

Sunday however was a fresh day, and that brought about new rumours about who the Saints could sign. The latest of those was Bruma, who will apparently look for a move away from Galatasaray this summer.

It seems that the Portuguese winger would be welcomed with open arms should he join the Saints, and even more so as it’s reported he would reject Tottenham Hotspur for the chance to do so.

Bruma has ten goals and six assists to his name in just 25 league appearances so far this season, making him a viable summer candidate.
