Ross Barkley (Everton)

Wouldn’t it be ironic if former Saints’ boss Ronald Koeman got rid of Ross Barkley in a surprise switch to Southampton? It is definitely an option I would consider worth splashing out on, and feel he would contribute a synergy with Redmond, Ward-Prowse and the strike force that would boost attacking options, as Saints surely need more goals.

Yet to impress on the big stage, we know a lot about Ross Barkley already. He is a wonderful free-kick taker, a great spreader of the play and is very strong in the centre of midfield. It hasn’t worked out for him this season at Everton, but I am certain he will come back stronger, but will it be in a blue or a red shirt?

He is English, raw talent, and Saint’s should definitely wrap up his signature this summer. With the fans shouting his names at games rather than being overshadowed by other figure names, his confidence will grow and so will his style of play. This could be a career boost for Ross Barkley.
