The transfer window is finally upon us. The window officially opened on 1st July. Us Southampton fans can expect a similar trend to previous years. Selling players for huge profit and unearthing hidden gems amongst Europe.

A new manager in Mauricio Pellegrino has come in, and will look to stamp his own authority on the squad in both personnel and style of play. It is inevitable there will be both ins and outs from the squad. Depth is something that is key for Southampton, injuries proving fatal to the 16/17 season.

Alongside the injury problem, Southampton struggle with carrying a squad with seemingly ‘deadwood’ players. Players who will not break into the starting XI and those players who just aren’t performing to the standard we expect.

Saints Marching’s Conor Dunford takes a look and gives his personal opinion on whom he believes should be shipped out this summer.
