Jake Hesketh

Hesketh is another Southampton player who has been talked about among supporters for a while now. Fans caught a glimpse of his quality when he scored at St Mary’s against Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup run.

Having made his debut for the first team against Manchester United, Hesketh has since spent the majority of his time in the development squads. An attacking midfielder with a considerable eye for a pass and a silky dribbler on the ball.

His stylish way of playing is something that should fit well into the way Southampton intend to play in the upcoming season. With more time to adapt the physical demands of the Premier League, I would hope to see Jake flourish and go on to become a regular for the first team in the next generation of Southampton academy graduates.
