Ross Barkley

Plenty of reports this summer confirm that Ross Barkley is looking for a way out of Everton, and with the Toffees looking increasingly likely to sign Gylfi Sigurdsson, there doesn’t appear to be much room for him on Merseyside.

Barkley is only 23, but has been a first team regular for Everton for several years now. His experience is frightening for someone at that age.

It is of paramount importance to Barkley that he plays regularly this season, as he is desperate to break into England’s world cup squad. Southampton can offer this.

The only problem is the midfielder’s price, as stories suggest Ronald Koeman wants around £50 million.

Tottenham have been linked with the Englishman, but Barkley is said to be willing to move slightly further down the table for the chance of more game time.
