James Ward-Prowse

Born in Portsmouth, made in Southampton. JWP has come on in leaps and bounds over the course of the last few seasons. Becoming a key part of the team under Claude Puel, if his rate of improvement is to continue under Mauricio Pellegrino he is surely going to become a key player for club and country.

Having been at the club since the age of eight, he has progressed through the ranks and shown to the other youngster at the club exactly what is capable if you work hard.

A passionate young player, who clearly loves playing for the club and is winning over more and more fans, being named captain of the team would be a dream come true for JWP. Much like Steven Gerrard was always proud to don the armband for Liverpool, Prowse will surely see this responsibility as a reason to kick on and drag the team through hard times.
