Who should play in Southampton’s #10 role against Swansea?
By Erik Franzo
James Ward-Prowse
JWP took a huge leap forward last season, and I believe he is eager to take on more responsibility. Giving him the #10 role would be great for his confidence and guarantees you get a workmanlike 70-90 minutes in the center of the pitch.
He is probably the best attacking center mid on the team, but I simply don’t trust him in front of goal. JWP is scoring at a better clip, but if his performance against Augsburg showed anything, he is not the goal-scorer you need out of a #10.
