Who will be Southampton’s Player of the Season?

Chris: This is a tricky one as I think several have the chance to have great seasons. However I’m betting on Oriol Romeu retaining his title. I reckon next to new-boy Lemina he could have a starring partnership as that anchor in front of the back-four. With Lemina likely to make runs forward Romeu’s work will be extra important I think he’ll flourish again.

Conor: Jack Stephens will continue his meteoric rise and establish himself as a key player and fan favourite.

Nikos: James Ward-Prowse. I think JWP will make the central-attacking-midfield role his own this season, and possibly even the team captaincy. I can see a few more goals coming too.

Coupled with the reasonable dream of a World Cup call-up in the summer, this is his chance to truly breakthrough and fulfil the potential we all hope he has.

Luke: Manolo Gabbiadini. The Italian was in fine form throughout pre season and looks set to continue that into the new campaign. His goals will prove very important as Pellegrino’s main man up top. I can see him grabbing 15+ in a highly impressive season.

Dan: Someone I’d like to be Player of the Season is Cedric just because I’ve taken a shining to him since he joined due to his consistent improvement and desire to play for the team. However, I think that Manolo Gabbiadini will be our man this season so let’s go with Gabbi!
