Olufela Olomola

Yeovil Town – Four appearances, three goals

When Yeovil went down 8-2 to Luton on the opening day of the season, Olomola was booked and substituted in the 71st minute. It wasn’t the best start for the 19-year-old, but thankfully his fortunes have turned since then.

Yeovil have had an inauspicious start to their campaign, losing three out of their four opening matches. However they have scored eight goals in that time, with Olomola netting three of them. His best performance so far was in their 3-2 win over Accrington, in which he scored a brace.

Two of his goals so far have been poachers efforts, but the third (his second against Accrington) showed excellent control and composure. Olomola ran clear of the defence onto a through ball, controlled it well then chipped a finish over the advancing keeper.

The raw nature of League 2 suits Olufela at his current level of development, but a decent season at Yeovil could set him up for a more illustrious loan move next season.
