Fraser Forster – 78 > 80

If anything, Forster’s rating for FIFA 18 would be to rectify his dreadfully low 78 from FIFA 17. He might get stick from Southampton fans but in truth Forster is a top goalie, and deserves to be in the 80 bracket, especially when his current rating sits him beneath Ron-Robert Zieler and David Ospina among others.

Forster doesn’t quite deserve to be up among the likes of Kasper Schmeichel or Jack Butland, but he definitely deserves a better overall rating he currently possesses. An 80 rating would put him alongside the likes of Swansea’s Fabianski and West Ham’s Adrian, which seems fair for the Southampton stopper.

After his earlier performances in a Saints shirt it seems bizarre that he wasn’t given a better rating before, with his current 78 being the highest he’s ever been awarded.

This comes despite competing for the Golden Glove during his first seasons, and despite some inconsistency he hasn’t truly lost his touch since his long injury lay-off two years ago.
