Southampton FIFA 18 rating predictions: Defensive-midfielders
By Chris Hughes
Mario Lemina – 77 – 78
Despite a big money move that sits as the Saints’ record signing, Lemina is unlikely to see his rating boosted by much – after all he was surplus to requirements at Juventus.
However with a move to the highly-publicized Premier League, the Gabonese international will likely get a slight boost to his overall, especially after a solid start to the season.
The 24-year-old netted a stunning goal last night whilst on international duty but also scored three times in 42 league games for the Turin outfit before leaving in the summer.
Oriol Romeu – 75 > 78
Romeu is one of Southampton’s players who definitely deserve an upgrade ahead of FIFA’s latest release.
78 seems both fair and realistic, although in truth he could potentially break the 80 barrier. However, Romeu will likely have similar stats to how former-Saint Victor Wanyama set up at the start of last year, which will make his Ultimate Team card highly appealing at the start of the game.
Romeu was Southampton’s Fan’s Player and Player’s Player of the Season last campaign in what was a breakthrough season for the Spaniard after his move from Chelsea in 2015.
