Southampton earned a much needed three points at Selhurst Park in another close affair with a 1-0 win thanks to Steven Davis early strike.

This result came off the back of an underwhelming performance at home against Watford in the 2-0 loss.

Crystal Palace now managed by former England manager Roy Hodgson, responded well to the early setback but at the same time Southampton were composed in possession and Fraser Forster had to pull of several saves to keep his team in front.

But was there a stand out player for Southampton or someone that didn’t play near his level? Ben King assesses the Saints’ players individual performances.
