Southampton: Loan player update – August 18
Ryan Seager – MK Dons
MK Dons manager Robbie Neilson employs Seager as a lone frontman in a rotation system, and he has played almost 400 minutes so far this season. However it’s taken him a lot longer than hoped to get off the mark.
Coming on with 25 minutes left and the score at 2-2, Seager scored his first – the winner in a 3-2 win against Rochdale last weekend. This pushed the Dons up to 13th, 5 points shy of the playoff positions.
Scoring the winner in a 3-2 victory in front of a home crowd could give Seager some confidence going forward. He will now be hoping for a starting place in the ‘derby’ game against AFC Wimbledon on Friday.
