Southampton gave it their all in an 0-1 defeat to Manchester United at St. Mary’s on Saturday. It was an inspired performance from the same Saints XI that defeated Crystal Palace a week ago.

A Romelu Lukaku goal was the difference in the game, but United created little going forward in the second half. Southampton were unlucky to not get a well deserved goal, but Jose Mourinho’s side continues to display the discipline needed to win games.

The positive play is a step in the right direction, and the player ratings will be up across the board this week. However, you may be surprised to see who is on top as Erik Franzo analyzes each Saint this week.
