If Mauricio Pellegrino was to change system for their upcoming home game against Newcastle, what benefits would it offer?

Following another frustrating defeat to the hands of Stoke City at the weekend. Many fans have called upon Pellegrino to change system. Insisting that the Argentine should pick a 3-5-2 formation to show some attacking intent.

The main benefit of this would be that two strikers are played, thus providing more likelihood to score. One part of Southampton’s game that has been lacking for some time now. This would offer more help to the likes of Shane Long who has been played as a lone striker. But clearly needs another player to play off of.

Besides this, there are other benefits that this formation could offer, so what are they?
