
It’s been nearly two months since Southampton’s 2017/18 season commenced, meaning the supporters have gotten a pretty good taste of how the Saints will shape up.
Even between now and January there’s plenty that could change, after a misfiring start to the season under Mauricio Pellegrino.
However the Saints fans have had a good enough sample of the kind of football and the tactical set-up that they will be watching for the remaining 30 or so games of the season. That being said, everyone on the south coast will hope that the side can start scoring a few more goals.
Southampton have just five so far from eight league games and two of those have been from penalty spot – however they’ve showed potential with some impressive performances.
