Matt Ritchie

Born in Gosport, the Ex-Portsmouth & Bournemouth winger is due to get a slightly hostile reception, as you would expect of an ex-Pompey player going to St Mary’s…

Although he withdrew from the Scotland squad due to injury, Rafa Benitez is confident he can call upon his reliable winger for the game.

He is without a doubt the most dangerous threat in the current Newcastle side. With four assists to his name in seven Premier League appearances and a dangerous shot from distance when he cuts in from the wing.

But he’s not all about the cutting in from the wing, he’s more than happy to take on his man along the touch-line before putting in a dangerous cross. Definitely one to be wary of.
