Jamaal Lascelles

Jamaal Lascelles has grabbed plenty of media attention during the international break.

In the same week he signed a six-year contract with the club he also was involved in a bust up when he and Mo Diame traded punches during training, resulting in Jonjo Shelvey fracturing his hand when he jumped in to separate the two.

Newcastle’s club captain has netted on two occasions this season, both goals being crucial in securing two wins for his team.

Those vital goals put him as joint top-scorer for the Magpies, alongside striker Joselu. As a defender he’s strong in the air, comfortable on the ball and a huge danger from set-pieces.
