In the most dramatic of fashions, Southampton ended their search for a win with a 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion.

Sofiane Boufal’s wondergoal off the bench proved the difference, as he ran nearly 70 yards before calmly slotting it into the bottom corner with just five minutes to play.

The substitute’s goal and the resulting three points see the Saints leapfrog their opponents to sit tenth, meaning they’re in the top half of the table for the first time this season.

Whilst the subs came on fairly late, Mauricio Pellegrino should take praise for re-jigging the Saints’ set-up once again, with a narrow midfield diamond present for much of the game today.

West Brom were not without chances but in the end it was Southampton who were the more dominant side, hitting the woodwork on several occasions and having numerous claims for penalties waved away by the ref.

But who stood out and who had a mediocre game?
