On a blustery day at St. Mary’s Southampton recorded their second home win of the season against West Bromwich Albion.

The 1-0 win wasn’t exactly the ‘goal fest’ that the fans are desperate to see, but a dominant performance at home was overdue and welcome.

For the longest time it looked like we were going to sit through another 0-0 disappointment. West Brom offered little attacking ambition and appeared content to sit back and frustrate Southampton.

But a late moment of Moroccan magic ensured Saints took all three points and moved back into the top ten.

Here are four key takeaways from an afternoon that saw a new formation, the inclusion of Storm Brian in the lineup, and what is becoming a trademark bicycle kick from Maya Yoshida!
