Southampton face Brighton and Hove Albion for the first time in the Premier League, this Sunday.

If we go back six years ago to 2011, this game was a top-of-the-table league one clash. The 2010/2011 season saw both clubs get automatic promotion with the Seagulls picking up the title. The next season had the two clubs facing off in the Championship but since Southampton’s promotion that season, the clubs are yet to do battle once again.

Brighton currently sit two places behind the Saints in 12th place after a fairly steady start, picking up big wins against Newcastle and West Ham. Chris Hughton appears to be doing an excellent job with a side that, on paper, could be considered as relegation contenders.

The last time these two teams played each other, it was a thumping 3-0 win for Brighton, so Saints will be looking for a little bit of revenge when they visit the AMEX stadium this weekend.

But who have Mauricio Pellegrino’s men have to be most wary about? Contributor Jack Deery gives his picks for Brighton’s biggest threats.
