Southampton battled to an away point against Brighton as they drew 1-1 at the AMEX stadium.

Steven Davis’ goal seven minutes in saw his team lead at the break, but Glenn Murray levelled the game up shortly after half-time.

The players will be disappointed not to come away with all three points however as they never truly took advantage of their positive play in the match.

Fraser Forster will come in for criticism again for allowing the equalising goal in, but it was Saints’ strange game management that cost them the win in the end.
