Southampton ended October undefeated after a 1-1 draw with promoted side Brighton, courtesy of a first-half goal from captain Steven Davis.

A poor attempt at a save from Fraser Forster early into the second half saw the Saints give up their one-goal advantage, although it came after the away side had sat back and allowed Brighton to attack at will.

Mauricio Pellegrino has faced criticism for his tactics from supporters on social media, with Southampton failing to add a second goal after a solid start at the AMEX.

Sofiane Boufal and James Ward-Prowse both returned to the starting XI whilst Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg made his first appearance of the season, having spent the majority either injured or featuring for the Under-23’s.

But who were the three stand-out players from the Saints’ fourth draw of the season?
