Southampton visit Anfield at the weekend, in what is a difficult period of fixtures. Despite this, some could say that Saints need to start picking up points, following a somewhat abysmal season so far.

Mauricio Pellegrino will return to his previous stomping ground, with hope of picking up some form of result. Failure to do so, or even a poor performance will only rack up the pressure on the Argentine, with many fans vocalising this of late.

Saints could possibly pose some goal threat this weekend given Liverpool’s defensive woes. However it’s easy to spot that Pellegrino’s men will need to be tight at the back. The home side will potentially be welcoming back two of their strongest players – two former Saints – in Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana.

This comes not long before Pellegrino that Mario Lemina would not be fit to face the Merseyside outfit

Coming up against an array of attacking talent, who will Southampton need to look out for?
