Raheem Sterling

The English winger is having his best season with City so far, finally living up to the potential that was thrust upon him early on in his career. He has already found the back of the net more times this season than he ever has in a whole campaign for Man City. He has scored eight goals so far, and is constant threat for the defence of any side.

The pace of Sterling has proven to be a nightmare for the teams he has faced so far. In their win over Huddersfield on Sunday, Sterling to be proved the match winner, winning the penalty for the equaliser and and scoring the winner late on. He will be going into the game high on confidence.

Realistically, I could have chosen 11 players to write about this season, they have been an absolute joy to watch. Mauricio Pellegrino has got his work cut out on Wednesday. No one could blame Southampton for losing this game, but the performance will need to show some courage, fight and intensity, they simply cannot just roll over.
