Midfielders

Defensive center-midfielder. Southampton. MARIO LEMINA. 5. Was not himself at all on Wednesday night.  Got pushed off the ball more than once, and was poor in possession.  Hopefully chalk this game up as a fluke.

5.5. Was subbed off at half time for Gabbiadini, and hopefully it was purely tactical.  Part of a starting trio of midfielders that got outplayed all day.. Defensive center-midfielder. Southampton. ORIOL ROMEU

Davis had an extremely poor night by his standards while acting as captain of the team.  Could not keep possession, looked two steps off the pace, and handed Leicester counter-attack opportunities far too often.  I am a big fan of Steven’s, but there is no way you can start him against Chelsea after that.. Centre-midfielder. Southampton. STEVEN DAVIS. 4

5. Started the game well, but lost his head with his team down three.  Reverted back to old habits of trying to do too much.  Technically all the talent in the world, psychologically still a project.. Attacking-midfielder. Southampton. SOFIANE BOUFAL

3. Did absolutely nothing in this game other than try to claim Yoshida’s goal, and attempt to win free kicks by falling on contact.  If not dropped for the Chelsea game I will have lost complete faith in the manager.  Does anyone else notice how much Cedric cannot stand him?. Attacking-midfielder. Southampton. DUSAN TADIC
