Jack Stephens

Stephens returned to the side as Southampton set up with a a five man defence to stifle Chelsea’s attacking play.

The centre-back had a strong game and continues to prove that he is more than capable to step into the side.

Discipline is key to Stephens’ game, and he has certainly had to stay focused in matches against Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal and Pedro of Chelsea here.

The England Under-21 international could be in line for more game time soon, with manager Pellegrino stating his desire to select players committed to the club.
