Laurent Depoitre was another summer purchase for Huddersfield in the summer. Having joined from Porto for a small fee, the striker is looking settled as the main spearhead of the team.

The Belgian is tied with fellow key threat Aaron Mooy as Huddersfield’s top goal scorer this season. Despite being a striker and not outscoring the midfielder, it’s relevant to add he was not first choice come start on this season. With Benin international Steve Mounie, preferred to the lead the line.

Depoitre offers The Terriers great physical and aerial presence up top, and therefore is able to bring others into the game. With this, crossing supply into him could be what causes Southampton the biggest headache.

Saints will need to cut off this supply, as well as have defenders who can deal with his aerial threat. Therefore Wesley Hoedt must be played.
