Andros Townsend

Townsend has had a mixed career since leaving Tottenham in 2015, enjoying a brief stint with Newcastle before joining Palace in 2016 for £13 million.

Townsend has a brilliant crossing ability and with Roy Hodgson likely to have identified Southampton’s aerial weakness, the England international will be looking to provide Christian Benteke with some brilliant service to help him out of his goal drought.

Townsend is also great at shooting from distance, so if Fraser Forster returns to between the Saints posts, we could see a repeat of the Doucoure (Watford) and Mahrez (Leicester) goals, which were both long-range strikes which could’ve been well saved.
