Ward-Prowse adding more to his game

A major criticism of James Ward-Prowse in the past and indeed this season has been his inability to contribute anything but consistent set-piece delivery to the Saints team.

However, in the past week he has scored all three of Southampton’s goals against Fulham and Watford from his normal right-midfield position.

This is refreshing to see as he has made an effort to arrive into the box and support attacks well with the other Saints forwards often misfiring.

If he keeps this form up, and keeps his place in the team, he could become a massively important player for the team. As an academy product and a potential team captain in the future, he’ll need to have this impact on more games.
