The final option on this list plays for Celtic, where the Saints have had a lot of success with transfer dealings in the past.

Fraser Forster, Victor Wanyama and Virgil van Dijk all came from the Scottish champions in recent seasons, and Simunovic is the latest in a long line of talented defenders to make his name in Glasgow.

The 23-year-old defender is currently a fully-fledged international with Bosnia and Herzegovina and could be signed for a lot less than the other players in this list.

He remains under contract for another three years but has made just 20 appearances in all competitions this campaign. Despite this, he is strong, tall and good on the ball, which makes for the perfect replacement for Virgil.
