Jake Hesketh

Like Josh Sims, Hesketh has already had a taste of first-team action and will undoubtedly be hungry for more.

The attacking-midfielder saw two first-team appearances last season, with those coming against Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup and Hapoel Beer Sheva in the Europa League. He even got on the scoresheet in the Palace game as Saints won 2-0.

The 21-year-old is clearly highly thought of at St. Mary’s too having made his first-team debut back in the 2014/15 season against Manchester United.

He has made a reputation for scoring and assisting goals from an advanced midfield position and will be high on Mauricio Pellegrino’s list of youth players to promote.
