Cedric

Cedric had a very good game both offensively and defensively.

The Portuguese full-back kept one of Watford’s main attacking threats in Richarlison quiet throughout the game, but also helped to drive his team forward. He found himself in the opposition penalty area at times and produced a couple of shots and crosses that flashed across goal.

Late on, it looked as though he picked up a slight knock and played through the pain for the last moments of the game. Saints will be hoping that him and left-back Ryan Bertrand, who was substituted with a hamstring problem, will be available for vital upcoming games against Brighton and West Brom.
