Southampton kept up a somewhat positive run of results this weekend gone-by with a victory against Watford in the FA cup fourth round.

The Saints are now underfeated in their last four games, with two cup victories and draws in the Premier League this month. Their most recent defeat coming against a rejuvenated Crystal Palace at St. Mary’s on the 2nd of January, which left many fans asking for Mauricio Pellegrino’s dismissal.

There has been a common conception for the most part of the season, that the manager had lost respect/control of his players. Though recent performances would seem to suggest otherwise, with this game included despite Watford still causing problems at times.
