Jose Izquierdo

Tricky Colombian winger Jose Izquierdo is another of Brighton’s biggest danger-men ahead of tonight’s game. Outside of his wonder goal against West Ham, it’s arguable that the 25-year-old hasn’t drawn too many headlines – but he’s also grabbed another goal and two assists this season.

Aside of boasting a bit more natural pace, Izquierdo is comparable to Sofiane Boufal in many ways, the most obvious being their ability to change of the game at the drop of a hat.

If the Colombian turns up tonight, he could cause havoc for the Southampton back-line, and although he’s naturally left-sided, there’s no reason why he couldn’t challenge down the other side if Ryan Bertrand doesn’t pass fit.

He may not be as dangerous in front of goal as Gross or Ulloa but he could easily run away as the Seagulls’ best player of the game if he enjoys one of his better nights in blue.
