Wesley Hoedt

It might seem surprising not to see Stephens make the list, but in truth Hoedt has been really solid since the turn of the year.

With his partner-in-crime grabbing the headlines with his goal-scoring efforts, the Dutchman has quietly enjoyed a purple patch of his own.

Hoedt played a confident game on both fronts, bombing forwards whilst remaining strong on the defensive end. Whilst the Saints should’ve done better with both goals, it didn’t stop the former-Lazio man from having a really sound game overall.

His defining moment came with his driving run from the back which resulted him being tripped right outside the 18-yard box, with Ward-Prowse converting the free-kick.
