Out of the relegation zone!

For the first time in what feels like a very, very long time, Southampton are out of the Premier League’s bottom three and currently sit 15th.

It’s tight at the foot of the table, with the Saints only two points off 19th with three of those four sides all sitting on 24 points.

But on the other hand, Southampton are only a point behind Watford in 11th, meaning anything could happen in the next few matches.

The Saints are still very much in a relegation dogfight but being out of those places makes for much better viewing, and reflects the superior roster Pellegrino has at his disposal in comparison to some of the teams around him.

There’s still a long way to go but for now, the Saints are exactly where they want to be come May.
