The Brazilian is Liverpool’s second top scorer with 11 goals this season, and has progressively got better over time, flourishing in the striker role.

Southampton’s defensive partnership in Wesley Hoedt and Jack Stephens will need to mute the Firmino by winning physical battles, as well as being non-complacent in their passing, as the striker’s work rate means they’ll be pressed for time.

Quite a clinical finisher from even half a chance, cutting off his supply line is a must, as failure to do so could only see a goal(s) conceded at St. Mary’s on Sunday, other Liverpool players such as Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane being that supply.
