Southampton battled to a 2-1 away win against West Brom to progress to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Wesley Hoedt’s first goal for the club put them ahead in the first-half, and a delightful dink from Dusan Tadic gave them some breathing space on 56 minutes.

A wonderful volley from Salomon Rondon saw Saints under pressure for much of the second-half, but resolute defending eventually saw them through.

They now face a trip to either Wigan Athletic or Manchester City in the next round, with the tie due to be played during the weekend of the 16th-19th March.
