Guido Carrillo

The Argentinian forward had his best game for the Saints in the last league meeting between the two teams, and he enjoyed another really decent afternoon in red and white on Saturday.

Unfortunately the 26-year-old is still chasing his first goal for the club after five appearances but his work ethic and his ability to bring other players into the game were clear at the weekend – he linked up wonderfully with Dusan Tadic on the counter attack for the Saints’ second, providing the assist for the Serbian’s delightful lob.

Mauricio Pellegrino’s side seem to be playing with a lot more freedom following the arrival of the striker from Monaco, with Carrillo opening up space for other teammates and making smart runs off the ball.

All that remains, as previously mentioned, is for the Argentinian attacker to get this sought-after first goal in England.
